After a hiatus of a few years and a slight domain name adjustment, tRump Administration 2.0: The Descent into Hell is providing too much fodder for this site to ignore. Yes, we know … not all men are jerks and some women are. This site is a little tongue in cheek, but there’s a large dose of outrage about what’s going on.
Welcome back.

I told my husband about my sexual assault case.

& he blamed me for it.
he called me a hypocrite & told me I put myself in that position, ”I knew better” & I shouldn’t have been there, that I shouldn’t have been drinking.
We’ll be divorced in July.
This is why we don’t report.

Why do so many incompetent men become leaders?
This explains a lot … not that it wasn’t a known phenomenon. Take the President of the United States, for example. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic at TEDxUniversityofNevada
Beware of Trumpists mouthing psychobabble
Received by a friend on FB:
“You’re projecting your lack of confidence in men, in general, which translates into your own insecurities, onto a man who is innocent of whatever other disappointments other men put you through, & he has, & is doing, & will continue to do a monumental job, for America. You can’t see that, which is evidenced by his accomplishments in hundreds of ways, in less than three years, because you’re enslaved by personal bitterness, & cognitive dissonance.
“Bitterness towards men is not a solution to the issue, it is the sedative you employ to assuage the pain of your fears & insecurities, & inhibit your ability to see, accept, & ultimately love any human as they are… as being only human.”
A suggested response to this canned nonsense (from Billy Madison):
“What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone [on Facebook] is now dumber for having [read] it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
Tip o’ the hat to Christy and Brian!
Is “ambiguous” a shade of “consent”?

Welcome to the Dark Ages
Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price (the genius) thinks cutting teen pregnancy prevention programs is a good idea. If Hell is already half full, would the entire Trump Administration push it over capacity?

What was that all about?
MenareJerks.com has never been about hate speech. The idea was largely tongue-in-cheek to start with and, aside from letting a few people share their (usually justified) rants, has mostly focused on pro respect for women and pro self-esteem building topics … and occasionally pointed out some jerky behavior. Facebook elected to delete a smallish (261 likes), four year old page connected with this site because of their “community standards”… I guess they failed to get that “jerk” really has a range of meanings. Other than calling Rick Perry a jerk … mild talk about Rick in Texas … it never got stronger than that. The Facebook page was somewhat more actively updated than this site and its posts referenced stories from the Washington Post, Hooking Up Smart, Time and other credible sources. The “rants” were never published on Facebook.
So, Facebook … please remember that free speech is nuanced and delicate … hate speech is not. You didn’t find the latter on that page. And keep in mind Ralph Waldo Emerson’s saying that “a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.”
Oh, yes … and on the largely free and open Web, we’re still here. Facebook can keep its “walled garden.” If anyone wants to see what was on the Facebook page, I’ve got some screen shots. Thanks.
